All praise be to Allah.

The following are 6 Muslim beliefs about Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) every Christian must know.

1. One cannot be a Muslim without believing in Jesus Christ

A believer is not a believer if he/she does not believe in the prophet Jesus Christ or Isa (AS). A Muslim must believe and respect all the prophets, from Adam to Muhammad (peace be upon him).

jesus christ
Jesus Christ (Pbuh)

Say, [O believers], “We have believed in Allah and what has been revealed to us and what has been revealed to Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the Descendants and what was given to Moses and Jesus Christ and what was given to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and we are Muslims [in submission] to Him.” Qur’an, 2:136

Allah mentions Jesus in Quran along with other prophets.

2. He had a miraculous birth

A believer in Islamic faith believes that Jesus Christ (pbuh) was born miraculously without a father. He was born to virgin Mary (Maryam(AS)). Mary is also respected and venerated by Muslims all across the world. Allah has mentioned this event in Quran and a full chapter in Quran is named after her.

3. He performed miracles

Yes, we believe that Jesus Christ (pbuh) performed many miracles by the will of Allah such as creating a bird from clay or curing the blind and leper and bringing the dead back to life.

jesus christ

And [make him] a messenger to the Children of Israel, [who will say], ‘Indeed I have come to you with a sign from your Lord in that I design for you from clay [that which is] like the form of a bird, then I breathe into it and it becomes a bird by permission of God .

And I cure the blind and the leper, and I give life to the dead – by permission of God. And I inform you of what you eat and what you store in your houses. Indeed in that is a sign for you, if you are believers. Qur’an, 3:49

Allah explained in Quran that if Jesus (pbuh) was able to perform these miracles only by the permission and will of Allah lest people start thinking he was God.

4. He is not God

Muslims do believe that Jesus is Messenger of God, sent to guide people but he was not divine. Muslims don’t believe in his divinity. They don’t acknowledge him as the God or son of God. They believe him to be a human being like themselves who was given the task of conveying the message of oneness of God to people.

5. He was not crucified

jesus christ
Jesus Christ

Christians believe that Jesus Christ (pbuh) was crucified but Muslims don’t and differ in this belief. Muslims believe that Jesus Christ (pbuh) was raised to heaven by God and one of his foes was made to look like him, who was crucified instead.

And [for] their saying, “Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah .” And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him, for certain. Qur’an 4:157

6. Jesus Christ will return

Muslims believe that Jesus Christ (pbuh) is in heaven and will be sent to Earth once again before the final day of the world and establish peace in the world.

As part of a longer narration, the Prophet Muhammad is reported to have said:

“By the one whose hands my life is in, surely the Son of Mary will descend amongst you as a just ruler…” Sahih Al Bukhari

All praise be to Allah.

The Christmas (Jesus birthday) is a Christian festival and is improved (innovated) by polytheists. It isn’t admissible for a Muslim to praise it or welcome (greet) it to anybody as it is an impersonation of Kuffaar. Additionally, Esa (Alaihi Salaam) has nothing to do with it or them.

Aside from being a development (innovation), it goes under the heading of emulating doubters (disbelievers) in their religion.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) stated: “Whoever emulates a people is one of them.”

Described by Abu Dawood (3512); classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Sunan Abi Dawood. Its isnaad was classed as jayyid by Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah, who stated:

jesus birthday

The minimum that can be said about this hadith is that it infers that it is disallowed to mimic (imitate) them. Anyway the obvious significance demonstrates that the person who copies them is a doubter (disbeliever), as Allah, may He be lifted up, says: “And on the off chance that any among you accepts them as Awliya’ ((companions, defenders, aides, etc.)), definitely he is one of them” [al-Maa’idah 5:51].

Saluting or welcome a non-muslim on the event of Christmas or some other religious celebrations is haram as per the majority of researchers (scholars). It is on the grounds that it suggests that you affirm of what they do and venerate (worship). It implies you endorse of their skepticism (disbelief).

Regardless of whether he doesn’t favor of this skepticism (disbelief) for himself, it is haraam for the Muslim to support of ceremonies of incredulity
(disbelief) or to praise (congratulate) another person for them.

Correspondingly, it is haraam for the Muslims to mirror (imitate) the skeptics (disbelievers) by hosting gatherings on these events, or trading endowments (gifts), disseminating (distributing) desserts or plates of sustenance (food), requiring some investment off work, etc, in light of the fact that the Prophet (peace be upon him) stated: “Whoever mimics (imitates) a people is one of them.” Narrated by Abu Dawood.

To entirety up: the mischief that outcomes from Muslims commending the Gregorian New Year (or Christmas) might be outlined in the accompanying focuses:

jesus birthday

1. The expectation (intention) and inspiration of these celebrations (festivals) and gatherings is shirk. Henceforth going to such gatherings or taking part in these occasions is indulging in shirk and impersonation of mushrikeen. Likewise it isn’t as per the instructing of Prophet Jesus (Alaihi Salaam) as he never endorses any such occasions for them or us.

So they are a blend of shirk and advancement (innovation), not with standing what they blend with that of unethical and insidiousness activities in these gatherings, as is notable. So how might we emulate (imitate) them in such manner?

2. The festival is malicious (evil) in all perspectives. It includes shrewd (evil) and degenerate (corrupt) activities. It is shrik and an asin apart from all the shameless (immoral) activity that occurs amid it. In view of that we can’t state that it is passable (permissible).

3. In the event that praising (celebrating) a birthday of a prophet is of any ideals (virtue) than for what reason don’t we commend the birthday events of all prophets known to us? Is it accurate to say that they are not prophets sufficiently commendable? Is it accurate to say that they were not sent by Allah?

4. The information of the birthday of any prophet isn’t known and is preposterous. The correct date of his introduction to the world isn’t known, as the antiquarians (historians) varied concerning this issue.

Henceforth it is better for a muslim to not commend this day and be far from it.

Also, Allah knows best.

Wishing Merry Christmas:

They say: (God) Most Gracious has sired (begotten) a child! For sure ye have advanced a thing generally gigantic! At it the skies are prepared to blast, the earth to part to shreds, and the mountains to tumble down in absolute demolish, that they ought to summon a child for (God) Most Gracious. For it isn’t consonant with the grandness of (God) Most Gracious that He ought to bring forth a son.{Quran 19:88-92}

Say: He is Allah the One and Only; Allah the Eternal Absolute; He begets not nor is He begotten, and there is none like unto Him.{Quran 112}

Welcome (greetings) on Merry Christmas

As indicated by Islam, God neither conceives nor he is sired and the greatest maltreatment you can provide for God is to state âHe sired (begot) a sonâ. This is on the grounds that; bringing forth is a lower creature capacity of sex which can’t be ascribed to God.

As indicated by Christianity, Jesus (pbuh) is the main generated child of God and Christmas is commended as his birthday. Since this is considered as the greatest maltreatment (abuse) given to God, Muslims are not permitted to wish Christians on this day.

A Christian whines about forbiddance of Muslims celebrating or praising individuals at Merry Christmas

All Praise be to the One God, who generates not, nor is sired (begotten).

You appear to have misconstrued the judgment of festivity of Merry Christmas as an issue of insolence for Christians. In all actuality, it is keeping in mind Allah and Jesus (pbuh) and the lessons of our Prophet Muhammad, (peace be upon him).

It is a fundamental piece of our confidence (faith) to dismiss festivities that have not been recommended or potentially that have a premise in deception, as unavoidably they lead to misguidance and changes in confidence (faith), as has occurred with Christianity.

There is not all that much or “periphery” about this. It is our fundamental ideal (right) to shield our confidence (faith) and practice from twisting and misrepresentation. Most likely nobody has a privilege to denounce us for this.

The word Christmas is derived from the Old English Cristes maesse, “Christ’s Mass.” :

(There is no sure custom of the date of Christ’s introduction to the world. Christian chronographers of the third century trusted that the formation of the world occurred at the spring equinox, at that point figured as March 25; subsequently the new creation in the manifestation (i.e., the origination) and demise of Christ should accordingly have happened around the same time, with his introduction to the world after nine months at the winter solstice, December 25).

… According to a Roman almanac, the Christian festival of Merry Christmas was celebrated in Rome by AD 336…

(The motivation behind why Merry Christmas came to be commended on December 25 stays indeterminate, yet most presumably the reason is that early Christians wished the date to agree with the agnostic Roman celebration denoting the “birthday of the unconquered sun” ) (natalis solis invicti); this celebration praised the winter solstice, when the days again start to protract (lengthen) and the sun starts to move higher in the sky.

The customary traditions associated with Merry Christmas have as needs be created from a few sources because of the fortuitous event of the festival of the introduction of Christ with the agnostic agrarian and sun oriented observances at midwinter.

In the Roman world the Saturnalia (December 17) was a period of fun and trade of blessings.

December 25 was additionally viewed as the birth date of the Iranian puzzle (mystery) god Mithra, the Sun of Righteousness. On the Roman New Year (January 1), houses were brightened with greenery and lights, and endowments (gifts) were given to youngsters and poor people.

To these observances were included the German and Celtic Yule ceremonies when the Teutonic clans entered into Gaul, Britain, and focal Europe. Nourishment and great partnership, the Yule log and Yule cakes, greenery and fir trees, and endowments and welcome all recognized diverse parts of this happy season.

Flames and lights, images (symbols) of warmth and enduring life, have dependably been related with the winter celebration, both agnostic (pagan) and Christian. Since the European Middle Ages, evergreens, as images of survival, have been related with Merry Christmas.

So as any normal individual can see, there is no solid reason for Christmas, nor did Jesus (peace be upon him) or his actual adherents observe Christmas or request that anybody observe Christmas, nor was there any record of anybody calling themselves Christians observing Merry Christmas until a few hundred years after Jesus (peace be upon him).

So were the sidekicks of Jesus (pbuh) all the more uprightly guided in not observing Merry Christmas or are the general population of today?

So on the off chance that you need to regard Jesus (peace be upon him),  as Muslims do, don’t commend some manufactured occasion that was matched with agnostic (pagan) celebrations and duplicate agnostic traditions.

Do you sincerely think God, or even Jesus himself, would favor or denounce a wonder such as this? On the off chance that you say support, clearly you are not keen on reality.

We ask Allaah, the One, Singular God, without any accomplices or children, the God of all creation and humankind, to control every one of us to the way of direction and earnestness.

Discipline for Zina (Unlawful Sexual Intercourse)

In this life
Sex (fornication) is 100 lashes

“The male and female who submit sex (zina fornication) – flagellate every one of them with one hundred lashes, and let not sympathy for both of them shield you from following Allah’s religion, on the off chance that you put stock in Allah and the Last Day. Furthermore, let a gathering of devotees witness their discipline (punishment).” [Noble Quran 24:2]

Infidelity (adultery) is demise (death)

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon hin) stated: “It isn’t allowed to shed the blood of any Muslim… With the exception of in three cases: a spirit for a spirit, the wedded individual who submits infidelity (adultery), and the person who spurns his religion…” [Bukhari and Muslim]

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stated:

“When somebody submits Zina or beverages (drinks) wine, Allah expels his confidence (faith) from him, similarly as an individual takes his shirt off over his head”

Punishment for Zina

In the Hereafter

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stated:

“On the Day of Resurrection, Allah won’t address nor take a gander at nor cleanse three kinds of individuals:- an elderly person who submits Zina, a lying lord (king) and a vainglorious poor person.”

The Prophet (peace be upon him) stated:

“We went on and touched base almost a pit which resembled and stove, out of which we could hear cries. We looked into it and exposed (naked) people (men and women), who shouted out when the flares contacted them from beneath. I asked: ‘Who are these, O Gabriel?’ He answered, ‘Guys and females who have submitted sex (fornication).'” [Bukhari]

The Prophet (harmony arrive) stated:

“The man who has laid his hand with desire on a lady who isn’t passable (permissible) to him will come on the Day of Judgment with his hand fixing to his neck. In the event that he kissed her, his lips will be cut in the Fire, and on the off chance that he had sex (intercourse) with her, his reproductive organs (private parts) will talk against him in the Day of Judgment saying: ‘I did what was illegal.’ Allah Most High will take a gander at him with indignation, and the substance all over will list and he will look run down and old. He will state: ‘What did I do?’

His tongue will observer against him saying, ‘I said what was illegal
(forbidden)’; his hands will talk and say, ‘We went after what was taboo
(forbidden)’; every one of his feet will state. ‘I went to a prohibited place.’; and his genitals (private parts)  will state, ‘I did it.’
A one of the guardian angels will state, ‘I heard it.’ and the other gatekeeper angels will state, ‘I composed (wrote) it,’ and Allah Most High will state, ‘I knew it yet I disguised (concealed) it.’ Then He will state ‘My heavenly attendants, take him and give him! an essence of My discipline (punishment). Extraordinary is My resentment against the man who had so little disgrace towards Me!'”

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stated:

“In the event that somebody submits Zina with a wedded ladies, in the grave there will be a discipline (punishment) on him and on her equivalent to a large portion of the discipline (punishment) of this Ummah…”

*The first thing the parents should be teaching their kids is TAUHID.*☝

These days people focus on teaching their kids ABCs, 123, animal names, nursery rhymes etc but they FAIL to teach them that which will save them from Hell fire – Tauhid.

Umm Sulaim (radiallaahu ‘anha) would teach her son Anas (radiallaahu ‘anhu), saying: “Say: ‘Laa illaaha il Allaah (none has the right to be worshipped in truth except Allaah).’

Tauhid : One Allah

Say: ‘Ash-hadu anna Muhammad ur Rasool-Allah (I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allaah).'” This was BEFORE the age of weaning [Siyar A’laam an-Nubalaa (2/305)

So you should be teaching Tauhid even before the age of TWO.

*Some tips on how you can Tawheed to your toddler age & above:*

1. Repeat to them the Kalimah –

La ilaha il Allah Muhammad ur Rasool Allah right from the day they are born all the time until they can pronounce it (doesnt matter if they dont pronounce it correctly as toddlers have limited speech skills).

2. Teach them Tawheed al Uloohiyyah –

Teach kids that we worship only Allah Subhaana wa ta’aala we only ask Him for help. When you pray Salaah & kids imitate you teach them we are praying only to Allah.

When your child needs something for example if a toddler is crying for a new toy teach them to make dua & ask Allah Subhaana wa ta’aala even for the smallest things.

Watch This Video !!! Meaning of Tauhid | Dr. Zakir Naik

3. Teach them Tawheed ar Ruboobiyyah –

Teach them that Allah is our Creator, the Only One. Tell them Allah Subhaana wa ta’aala created everything. Ask them who created you? Your mum ,dad? Siblings? the animals? Teach its Allah Subhaana wa ta’aala who created everything.

When they look at the Sun or stars tell them its Allah who Created everything. Make them focus on big & small creations. Even the ant & apple, tell them Allah created it. This makes them realise that EVERYTHING is created by Allah.

Kalimat Tauhid

4. Teach your child Tawakkal to rely upon Allah for everything –

When your chilld is scared or worried them dont tell them “I am here or your dad’s here dont worry’ teach them Allah is with you. He is the best protector. He will look after you. This will teach your child to rely upon Allah rather than you or any other human being. Even if u die or you are sick & your child is lonely, they will learn to rely on Allah and trust Him.

When your child is worried tell them Allah will make things better. When your child is sick teach them to turn to Allah to make dua to him & ask Him for shifa.

Watch This Video!!! Tauhid | Shirk | Dr. Zakir Naik

5. Teach them Tawheed al Asma wa Sifaat –

Teach your kids Names & Attributes of Allah Subhaana wa ta’aala from an early age. Ask them where is Allah, tell them Allah is Up- the Most High, above all Heavens. When a child is naughty tell them Allah is watching them that He sees all.

Always remind that even if your are not there Allah is with them in His Knowledge. If they throw a tantrum or become angry tell them that Allah Hears them. If your child is being impatient tell them Allah loves those who are patient. When you take your child to the beach or when they see rainbow tell them Allah is the Creator, He designed everything.

Remember the happiest people are the people of Tawheed so if u want your child to be content & happy both in dunya and akhirah teach them Tawheed right from day one.

True Love :

Once one of the companions came to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and this narrated by Al Hasani in Tafsir Al – Tabari. He says at the time of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) someone came to Him and said: Wallahi oh Messenger of Allah, we Love Allah so much, Wallahi we Love our Rabb (true love). Ok! We love Allah, who doesn’t love Allah?

We all love Allah, he made us! How can we not love him? So Verses revealed (Surah Al Imran – Verse No 31) ”Say if you claim to love Allah, if you really love Allah (Subhana Wa Ta’la) than follow me, Allah will love you (Quran – 3:31).

true love
True Love

Follow me, which mean follow the Messenger of Allah. If you follow the instructions of Allah it shows you love Him. What is the point of saying I love you and then you do things against the same person or the same supreme being. I love Allah but where is Salatul Fajr. I love Allah, where is my dress code? I Love Allah but I cannont give up adultery and gambling and pornography, but I love Allah.

You know the excuse they use today? Don’t judge my heart, Allah knows my heart.

Yes Allah knows your heart but your actions are proving how distant you are from Allah (Subhana Wa Ta’la). You yourself are making it difficult for people. May Allah (Subhan Wa Ta’la) help us all. May Allah help us improve.

It requires dedication, you say you love Allah, you need to change your life in accordance to that which pleases Allah.

And to know that you have to go to the instruction of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) because he was the Messenger who came to you. May Allah (Subhana Wa Taa’la) bless us all and may He strengthen us. (Ameen)

Allah (Subhana Wa Ta’la) tells us if you love Allah, follow Me, follow Muhammad (peace be upon him) and Allah will love you and he will forgive your sins.

May Allah (Subhan Wa Taa’la) grant us ease.

If non-Muslims comes and tells me that they have not been exposed to Islam. Today in this world of science and technology its difficult. May be if you ask this question fifty years back it was possible. Toady in this age of science and technology specially the media bombarding the misconceptions about Islam you exposed to Islam may be the wrong Islam that Muslims are terrorist, Muslims are fundamentalists, Islam is a religion of killing, it degrades the women. They (Non Muslims) may be exposed to Islam but wrong Islam.

Now what happens to the non Muslims who is not exposed to the right teachings of Islam.

non muslims

I feel if a non Muslim hear something from media or any human being hear something in media he shouldn’t take it for granted as our creator Almighty Allah says in the Quran whenever you get information check it up before you passed it to the third person.

Whenever you get information its important for a person to checks it whether its right or wrong, as far as the message of Islam is concerned what if a non Muslims is living in a island or living somewhere where he doesn’t have any knowledge of Islam.

First its the duty of every Muslim to convey the message of Islam and irrespective whether we convey or not.

Our creator Almighty Allah says in the Quran that soon we shall show them our signs in the horizons and within themselves until it becomes clear to them that it is the truth.

Allah say the He will show them the signs to every human being before the human being dies so Allah takes it up upon Himself that He will convey this message to each and every human being whether the person born in non Muslim family or Muslim family. Allah will give this message to every human being.

non muslims
Non-Muslims | Dawah | Islam

There was some survey done in 1950 in 2 tribes. these two tribes did not come in contact with modern civilization till as late as 1950. When the researchers went and tried to find out what was their way of life, these people they believe that God is one they believe He alone should be worship and they believe He didn’t begot anyone and they did the prostration (Sajdah). It was everything of Islam so when no external influence comes on the human being that person submits his will to God.

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said:

Every child born as a Muslim. Muslim means a person who submits his will to God, later on that person may be influenced by his parents, by his teachers, by his elders and he may start doing idol worshiping and he may start fire worshiping and than he may go on the wrong path and that is the reason when a non Muslim accept Islam the more appropriate word is revert. He was a Muslim born as a Muslim, he gets converts to the wrong religion and than comes back to the original faith that is Islam.

If you take three Children, one born to a christian family, one born to a jew family and one born to a hindu family. Isolate these three children completely from any external influence and when they grow up and you try to find out what is their way of life. It will be nothing but Islam. Only after external influence they start doing wrong things. This is scientifically proven.

Riba (Interest): Today’s world has a complex financial structure. Nearly every transaction is carried out through banks. One cannot possibly eliminate the banking completely from one’s life but at least we can control on how much interaction can be carried out. The more we can avoid the better.

Firstly, it is not permissible to work in riba or interest-based banks at all as it involves consuming riba, or writing it down or witness it or help those who do that.

It is one of the major issues in our society nowadays and most of our community is involved in banking jobs. The major scholars have issued fatwas stating that working in banks that deal with riba is haraam, (proven through hadith and Quranic verses) many people know this already yet continue with this sin. Even if the nature of work doesn’t involve dealing with riba directly it is still haram and it includes guards, cleaners, and other services as well. This is because they are witness to one of the grievous sins.

In fataawa al-lajnah al-Daaimah. 15/41 it is mentioned that:

It is not permissible for a Muslim to work in a bank that deals with riba, even if the work that the Muslim does has nothing to do with riba because he is giving the employees who do work with riba with what they need and he is helping them with their calculation of interest.

Riba | Interest | Bank Jobs

Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“but do not help one another in sin and transgression”
[Al-Quran : al-Maa’idah 5:2]

Hence helping one in committing sin is a sin itself and a person will be held accountable for that. And hence it includes all personnel engaged in banking sector be it officials or guards or cleaners.

The Standing Committee (15/38) was asked: what is the ruling on working in the existing banks?

They replied:
Most of the transactions that are done nowadays involve riba, which is haraam according to the Qur’an and Sunnah and the consensus of the ummah. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ruled that whoever helps the one who consumes riba or pays it by writing it down for him or bearing witness to it, etc, is a partner of the one who consumes it and the one who pays it, and they are all cursed and expelled from the mercy of Allah.

In Saheeh Muslim and elsewhere it is narrated that Jaabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) cursed the one who consumes riba, the one who pays it, the one who writes it down and the two who witness it, and he said, “They are all the same.”

Hence from these hadith, any doubt or question is completely eliminated any possibility of working in a bank. It is Haraam.

Muslims should avoid it and earn a living through permitted means. A person should not expose himself to the curse of Allah and his Messenger.
And if you happen to be part of any riba-based bank leave the job for the sake of Almighty Allah. Do not fear of poverty, for Allah is sufficient for everyone and He (SWT) will provide the means that one least expects.

The Standing Committee (15/18) was asked the following questions:

 1. Is there any specific section of the bank that is halaal, as many think, and if that is correct could you explain further?

There is no section in the riba-based bank that is exempt from this ruling according to what we know of the pure shari’a because all the bank employees are cooperating in sin and transgression.

2. What is the ruling on working as a maintenance engineer for one of the electronics companies that deal with some of the riba-based banks, where the company sells equipment (calculators, cameras, telephones) to the bank, and tells us, as maintenance engineers, to go to the bank to service this equipment on a regular basis?  Is this work haraam on the basis that the bank does its accounts and organizes its work on these machines, and are we thus helping them in sin?

They replied:
It is not permissible for you to work for companies that are as you described because that involves cooperating in sin and transgression.

And it says in Fataawa al-Lajnah al-Daa’imah (15/48):

It is not permissible for a Muslim to work in banks that deal with riba because that involves helping them to engage in riba-based transactions in one way or another, by writing them down, witnessing them, guarding the bank, etc. Helping them in that manner is cooperating in sin and transgression, which Allah forbade when He said (interpretation of the meaning):

“but do not help one another in sin and transgression”
[Al-Quran : al-Maa’idah 5:2]

Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked: is it permissible to work for a riba-based organization as a driver or guard?

He replied:
It is not permissible to work for a riba-based organization even if you are a driver or a guard because accepting employment with a riba-based organization implies that you approve of them, as whoever denounces something could not work to serve its interests. If he works to serve its interests, he must approve of it, and the one who approves of something haraam has a share in its sin. With regard to those who are directly involved in writing down transactions, transferring money, depositing money, etc, are undoubtedly dealing directly with something that is haraam.

Watch This Video!!!

It was proven from the hadeeth of Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) cursed the one who consumes riba, the one who pays it, the one who writes it down and the two who witness it, and he said, “They are all the same.”

From Fataawa Islamiyyah, 2/401

And there are other well-known fatwas which forbid working in riba-based banks, no matter what the kind of work involved.
Based on this, if you are indulged in such sin than you have to repent to Allah from what you have done in the past, and leave this work, seeking the help of Allah, putting his trust in Him and being certain that He will grant provision. Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“And whosoever fears Allah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty).

And He will provide him from (sources) he never could imagine. And whosoever puts his trust in Allah, then He will suffice him. Verily, Allah will accomplish his purpose. Indeed Allah has set a measure for all things”
[al-Talaaq 65:2-3]

We ask Allah to make us independent by means of that which is halaal so that we will have no need of that which is haraam.

May Allah protect us all.

All praise be to Allah.

What is the ruling on insuring a car (car insurance)? In case of an accident, the insurance company pays all repair fees instead of the other side.

Car insurance is not permissible as it comes under the heading of commercial insurance. Also, it insures one against accidents involving others. The sharia has forbidden it because it is based on uncertainty and consuming peoples wealth unlawfully.

The majority of fiqh councils and fatwa organizations forbid it. If one is not obligated to purchase it than it is better to avoid it but if one has no choice than it is permissible to take out car insurance, and the sin is on those who forced others to do it, based on the principle of “necessities which make forbidden things permissible”.

Car Insurance
Car Insurance

The person who is forced to take out car insurance should not take more than he paid, if the company compensates him for harm suffered, based on the principle of “necessity should be properly estimated (without exaggeration)”.

The muslims should strive for the sake of Allah and their religious commitment and honour and stay away from such haram things, as mentioned in the hadeeth narrated by al-Nu’maan ibn Basheer:

“That which is halaal is clear and that which is haraam is clear, and between them are doubtful matters which many people do not understand.

Whoever guards against the doubtful matters will protect his religious commitment from shortcomings and will protect his honour from slander, but whoever falls into that which is doubtful will fall into that which is haraam …” Narrated by al-Bukhaari (2051) and Muslim (1599).

And Allah(swt) knows best.

car insurance
Car Insurance

Fatwa by Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allah(swt) have mercy on him), when he was asked: Recently there has appeared that which is known as insurance, for wealth, business and cars, and there are now companies which deal with this and insure cars in the sense that if the car is in an accident they will pay for its value and if people are killed as a result of the accident they will pay the diyah (blood money).

What is your view, seeing that they describe the insurance as a kind of cooperation? What is your opinion, may Allah(swt) reward you with good?

He replied: According to what you have mentioned, we think that this is haraam, i.e., for the car owner to pay money each month or each year to this company, and the company will pay up if an accident happens with this car.

We think that this is haraam, and that it is a kind of gambling, which Allah(swt) mentions alongside worshipping idols and drinking alcohol. Allah(swt) says (interpretation of the meaning):

Intoxicants (all kinds of alcoholic drinks), and gambling, and Al‑Ansaab (stone altars for sacrifices to idols etc) and Al‑Azlaam (arrows for seeking luck or decision) are an abomination of Shaytaan’s (Satan’s) handiwork. So avoid (strictly all) that (abomination) in order that you may be successful” [al-Maa’idah 5:90]

The reason is that if this policy-holder pays five hundred riyals per month, then he will pay six thousand riyals per year, and perhaps he will have an accident in this year which incurs costs of twenty thousand riyals, or perhaps he will have no accident.

If the former happens, i.e., an accident which incurs costs of twenty thousand riyals, then the policy holder who paid insurance will be a winner and the company will be a loser.

But if the opposite happens and no accident takes place during the year, then the company will be the winner and the policy holder will be the loser. This is the essence of gambling, so it is haraam and it is not permissible for a person to get involved in it.

Do not be deceived by what people do because Allah(swt), may He be blessed and exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning): “And if you obey most of those on the earth, they will mislead you far away from Allah(swt)’s path” [al-An’aam 6:116]. My advice to my brothers is to boycott this insurance.

As for their saying that it is a kind of cooperation, this is as false as it can be. Can anyone who does not get involved in this insurance benefit from this organization? No he cannot, rather it is insurance which involves gambling. End quote from Liqaa’aat al-Baab al-Maftooh (23/158).

And Allah (swt) knows best.

All Praise be to Allah

There are more serious moral problems that are present in our society and among them is the filthiest act of bestiality (Intercourse with animals). In today’s world, it is a growing evil and a great problem. The act did not occur at the time of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and there is no evidence about any such happenings in that time. However, the act is so evil that there is no doubt that it is included in major sins.

The sin was not committed by anyone (among shahaba) during the best time of the world. That generation was uniquely ideal, even the sinners among them. Read the story of Maa‘iz and the Ghaamidi woman who committed zina, then when they came to their senses after committing that sin, they were not content until they came to the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and insisted that he should purify them by carrying out the hard punishment on them. May Allah be pleased with them.

Filthy Bestiality (intercourse with animals)
Filthy Bestiality (intercourse with animals)

Allah protected that generation by his mercy from the most of sins and even sins such as homosexuality, lesbianism and bestiality. Such acts were definitely not done by the companions of the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). There is no known report of anyone being brought to the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) because of having committed sins such as these.

Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) said:

There is no proven report from the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) to say that he passed judgment concerning any case of homosexuality, because this was not known among the Arabs, and no such case was brought to him (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). But it is proven that he said: “Execute the one who does it and the one to whom it is done.” This was narrated by the authors of the four Sunans, and its isnaad is saheeh. At-Tirmidhi said: It is a hasan hadeeth. End quote from Zaad al-Ma‘aad (5/36-37)

Similarly, the evil of bestiality was not known during that time and no such person was presented to the prophet (peace be upon him) for having done such an act. The hadith that mention this does not mean it was committed during that time, however, it was mentioned for sharing purposes.

Bestiality (intercourse with animals)
Bestiality (intercourse with animals)

It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “If you find that someone has had intercourse with an animal, kill him and kill the animal too.” Narrated by Abu Dawood (4464) and at-Tirmidhi (1455) – this version was narrated by him. The scholars differed as to the soundness of this report; some of them classed it as saheeh and others classed it as da‘eef.

Daaef or saheeh, in both cases it is not acceptable behavior of Muslim.

And even if we assume that it is saheeh, nothing in this hadith suggest that it occurred at the time of the Prophet(peace be upon him) or a particular person did it. Moreover, The hadeeth says “If you find that someone has…” Here the Messenger (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was stating and affirming the shar‘i ruling, and it is addressed to the entire ummah.

It is a filthy act and is not accepted in Islam. Although no such case happened during the time of prophet it doesn’t mean it is not evil and he has mentioned it for the shari purpose. A believer must refrain from such acts and warn people against it.

May Allah help us. May he keep our youth from such evil. May he help our brothers and sisters in their emaan.

Q. (from slip) The question is, when all belief in one God, why people fight in the name of God, and in the name of Religion?

Dr. Zakir Naik

A. (Dr. Zakir Naik): The person asked the question- that if all the people, all the human beings, or most of them believe in one God… believe in one type of religion – why do they fight? – Why are there so much of infighting, riots, etc.

No religion, which I know of, tells that people should fight with each other unnecessarily – No religion says that. Neither the Qur’an, neither the Veda, neither the Bible – Unnecessarily you should not. And the Holy Qur’an says, in Surah Maidah, Ch.No. 5, Verse No. 32, if anyone kills any human being, unless it be for murder or creating mischief in the land, it is as though you have killed the whole of humanity’.

Qur’an doesn’t say, ‘if you kill a Muslim you have killed the whole of humanity – If you kill any human being, unless it be for murder, or creating mischief in the land, it is as though you have killed the whole of humanity.

So no religion teaches, that people should fight with each other unnecessarily. Suppose people are trying to oppress you, then most of the Religions say that you should put that oppressor back in its place. Qur’an says that in Surah Anfal, Surah Tawba, that if the people try to drive you out of your house, out of your faith, out of your land, then… you can fight them for self defense.

Even the Geeta…the whole Bhagwad Geeta – it is known as the ‘Nectar’ of the Vedas – Lord Krishna, he is giving advice to Arjun that… ‘See you fight for the truth – Even if the opposite people are relatives, don’t stop… If they are in the wrong – you fight.

The Qur’an says in Surah Isra, Ch. 17, Verse 81….(Arabic)….. ‘That when truth is hurled against falsehood, falsehood perishes, for falsehood in by its nature bound to perish’.

The Qur’an is a ‘Healing’ and ‘Mercy’ for those who believe – It was revealed in stages. But for those who are unbelievers it is nothing but loss after loss. So basically no Religion tells you to fight, unless in self defense. Even the police kills the robber, in self defense – Kills the criminals. But yet I do know that people fight.

Fight in the name of Religion
Fight in the name of Religion

Why?… Is the big question – You know what’s the reason? Why?… Is the big question – You know what’s the reason? The reason is, people fight for power, for material things.

The politician – he wants ‘vote’. So what does he do? He instigates a riot…a riot and then you get marginalized – And then Hindus vote Hindus, and Muslim vote Muslims -Politicians.

If a builder wants a land – You can’t acquire the land because there are 1000 huts there. What does he do? He instigates a riot on the base of religion – the huts are burned down and then he builds a big building on that land, for money.

So these people, for power, for money, for material requirements – these people, they instigate the riots. Otherwise, the common Hindus, the common Muslims – Alhamdullillah, we love each other – We love our Non Muslim brothers.

Watch This Video!!!

Bombay… you know Bombay, even during partition, there was not such a riot as we had a couple of years ago. Were engineered by whom? Politicians! Politicians engineered it – All because, for power, for material desires.

Otherwise, no religion says that you should fight with one another. We do know – we have similarities – We agree with that – We have differences also. But a politician, on front of everyone, he will say, ‘Ram bhi Khuda, … Allah be Khuda’ – Front of you – And behind he goes and engineers riots.

See we don’t believe in Pseudo secularism. If suppose two people are there – one person is saying 2+2 = 4, the other person is saying 2+2=5. That does not mean Oh! He is such a good man, 2+2 is also equal to 4, 4, 2 + 2 is also equal to 5. I am very desh bakth… secular person. What secular? Hypocrisy! I should have the guts to say-‘see what you are saying 2 + 2 = 4 is right – what you are saying 2+2=5, is wrong… but I will not fight with you. I will tell you the truth, I will not fight with you.

Watch This Video!!!

Then the Qur’an says in Surah Kafirun, Ch. 109, Verse No. 1 to 6.
…(Arabic)…. ‘Say to those who reject faith – I will not worship what you worship, nor will you worship what I worship. I will not be worshipping that which you want me to worship, nor will you worship what I worship. To you is your way, to me is mine’?- To you is your religion, to me is mine.

I will present the truth to him… ‘Bhai, don’t do idol worship… Don’t have the wrong concept of God’. Yet if you have…. (Arabic)… ‘To you is your way, to me is mine’ The Holy Qur’an says in Surah Baqarah, Ch.2, Verse No. 256…(Arabic)…‘

There is no compulsion in religion – Truth stands out clear from error. If you hold the hand of Allah Subhana Wa Taala, He will take you from darkness to light.

If you hold the hand of the evil one… the devil, he will take you from light to darkness. The choice is yours. But no Religion says that you should fight with each other, unnecessarily.

Hope that answers the question.

Determining if One is Afflicted by Evil Eye or Possessed by a Jinn?

Q. How can a person know if he has been possessed by the jinn or if he is affected by the evil eye?

Praise be to Allah.

The one who is afflicted with an evil eye or is possessed by jinn has certain symptoms by which we can ascertain if one is affected or not.

Those who deal with Ruqya (incantations) as prescribed in Islam have mentioned some of those symptoms. Although symptoms vary greatly with each case some of the symptoms are common.

Evil Eye
Evil Eye

1. Turning away and reacting strongly when Quran is recited or Adhan is said.

2. When Quran is recited, a person may faint or suffer seizures.

3. Lot of disturbing dreams.

4. Remain alone, keep away from people and behave strangely.

5. The devil speaks and becomes aggressive when Quran is recited over him.

6. Too much hungry or loss of appetite.

1. Headaches that move from one part of head to another.

2. Yellowness of face.

3. Too much sweating or urinating.

4. Weak appetite.

5. Palpitations in heart.

6. Pain in lower back or shoulders.

7. Sadness and anxiety.

8. Sleeplessness.

9. Love solitude.

10. Remain alone and become lazy.

11. Health problems with no medical cause.

These signs or some of them may be present according to the strength of the evil eye or the number of people who put the evil eye on others.

Those who deal with ruqyah (incantation) as prescribed in Islam have mentioned some of the symptoms from which it may be known whether a person has been possessed by the jinn or affected by the evil eye. They are not definitive symptoms and may vary in some cases, and may be more or less in other cases.

As for the symptoms of possession, they are:

Evil Eye
Evil Eye

1.     Turning away and reacting strongly when hearing the adhaan (call              to prayer) or Quran

2.     Fainting, seizures and falling when Quran is read over him

3.     A lot of disturbing dreams

4.     Being alone, keeping away from people and behaving strangely

5.     The devil who is dwelling in him may speak when Quran is recited              over him.

As for the symptoms of being affected by the evil eye, Shaykh ‘Abd al-‘Azeez al-Sadhan (may Allah preserve him) said:

If it is not a real sickness, then the symptoms may take the following forms:

Headaches that move from one part of the head to another; yellow pallor in the face; sweating and urinating a great deal; weak appetite; tingling, heat or cold in the limbs; palpitations in the heart; pain in the lower back and shoulders; sadness and anxiety; sleeplessness at night; strong reactions due to abnormal fears; a lot of burping, yawning and sighing; withdrawal and love of solitude; apathy and laziness; a tendency to sleep; health problems with no known medical cause.

These signs or some of them may be present according to the strength of the evil eye or the number of people who put the evil eye on others.

Islam Q&A

If a person listens to Soorat al-Kahf on Friday, will he have the same reward as the one who reads the soorah?

Q. Does listening to Soorat al-Kahf on Friday bring the same reward as that of the one who reads it?

Praise be to Allah.

Soorat al-Kahf :

The reward that results from reading Soorat al-Kahf on Friday is only mentioned for the one who reads the soorah on that day. The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever reads Soorat al-Kahf on Friday, Allah will bestow upon him light between those two Fridays.” Narrated by al-Bayhaqi; classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Albaani (may Allah have mercy on him) in Saheeh al-Jaami‘.

Soorat al-Kahf
Surah Kahf

It is well-known that the one who listens to a soorah is not regarded as having read it. Based on that, if a person wants the reward that is mentioned in the hadith, then he has to read Soorat al-Kahf, and it is not enough just to listen to it.

But if a person cannot read Qur’an well, so he listens to it being recited by someone else, seeking the reward that has been mentioned for that, then there is the hope that he will have the same reward as the one who reads it, because of his good intention and doing what he is able to do.

And Allah knows best.

Soorat al-Kahf and its importance :

Alhamdulillah, let’s reflect on one story of surah kahf which is the story of ashabul kahf.

This story is one the of the wonders of the world.

There were a time when a king came into power and started to king anyone who does not worship idols..

Soorat Al-Kahf
Soorat Al-Kahf

Among them were seven men who were pious and because of that fled they go away to take rescue from a cave.

As they were inside, they were praying unto Allah to save and protect them.
Just then Allah s.w.t made them fall into a deep sleep. As they were sleeping they did not know what was happening.
They had their dog with them.

They oneday woke up and started asking themselves,
How many days have we slept?
One of them said maybe half a day. So they were confused.
They sent one of them to buy food for them and not to tell anyone of their whereabouts.

Just then he went out and saw a different people and different culture and life.
They people were amazed to see their ancient people about 300 years alive.
They started following him and he ran and entered the cave. They people were amazed to see the seven people inside the cave.
This became a mystery and people start to talk of them.

This surah was from Medina because some group of Jews came and ask the prophet s.a.w to tell them of these story and Allah s.w.t revealed it to show them this Qur’an is from him alone.
Allaahu Akbar.

May Allah grants us faith and his mercy. Ameen

QUESTION:- We are aware of hijab – covering of woman’s face and hair. Some of my friends do not cover their hair and there is an argument that if they tie their hair rather than keep it open, the degree of the sin (gunah) is smaller? Also keeping long hair open is a greater sin than keeping short hair open. Is it true? Plese help and reply.

 Praise be to Allah.

When Allah, may He be exalted, and His Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) enjoin something, it is obligatory for the Muslim to say, “We hear and we obey,” and to hasten to carry out what has been enjoined upon him. This is what is required by faith in Allah.

Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“It is not for a believer, man or woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decreed a matter that they should have any option in their decision. And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger, he has indeed strayed into a plain error”

[al-Ahzaab 33:36]

Shaykh ‘Abd al-Rahmaan al-Sa’di (may Allah have mercy on him) said:

“It is not for a believer, man or woman” means: it is not appropriate or befitting for the one who is described as a believer to do anything other than to hasten to please Allah and His Messenger, and to flee from incurring the wrath of Allah and His Messenger, and to obey their commands, and to avoid that which they have prohibited.

It is not appropriate for a believing man or a believing woman “when Allah and His Messenger have decreed a matter” and enjoined it, “that they should have any option in their decision”. They do not have the choice of whether to do it or not, rather the believing man and the believing woman know that the Messenger is dearer to them then their own selves, so they should not let their own whims and desires form a barrier between them and obeying the command of Allah and His Messenger.

“And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger, he has indeed strayed into a plain error” means, an obvious error, because he has forsaken the Straight Path which leads to the reward of Allah, and has strayed to another path which leads to a painful torment. So Allah mentions first the reason for not going against the command of Allah and His Messenger, which is faith, then He mentions the deterrent for that, which is fear of going astray, which leads to punishment and humiliation. End quote.

Tafseer al-Sa’di, p. 612.

The Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) told us that the one who disobeys him is the one who does not want to enter Paradise! Al-Bukhaari (7280) narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “All of my ummah will enter Paradise except those who refuse.” They said: “O Messenger of Allah, who would refuse?” He said: “Whoever obeys me will enter Paradise and whoever disobeys me has refused.”

When the command of hijab came, the first Muslim women hastened to obey it, so much so that the women tore their clothes in order to hasten to obey this command. This is what is meant by faith.

It was narrated that ‘Aa’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: May Allah have mercy on the women of the early muhaajireen. When Allah revealed the words “and to draw their veils all over Juyoobihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms)”, they tore their aprons and covered their faces with them. Narrated by al-Bukhaari in a mu’allaq report and by Abu Dawood (4102); classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood.

Al-Haafiz Ibn Hajar said:

Muroot, sing. murt (translated here as “aprons”) refers to the izaar or lower garment.

Our advice to those sisters is to hasten to obey the command of Allah without any hesitation, and not to try to obey part of the command and neglect part of it. It is obligatory for a woman to cover her hair, face and all of her body, and it is not permissible for her to show any part of that in front of non-mahram men. Whoever does that is exposing herself to the threat and is lacking in faith to the extent that she is failing to respond to the command of Allah.

And Allah knows best.

Was al-Khidr a Prophet?

Q. Was al-Khidr an angel, a Messenger,   a Prophet or a wali (“saint”)?

Praise be to Allaah.

The from the general meaning of the Qur’aanic verses (Surah Kahf) it appears  that he was a Prophet.

Shaykh al-Shanqeeti (may Allaah have mercy on him) said in his commentary on the aayah (interpretation of the meaning)

Al-Khidr | Prophet | Surah Kahf | Quran
Al-Khidr | Prophet | Surah Kahf

“Then they found one of Our slaves, on whom We had bestowed mercy from Us, and whom We had taught knowledge from Us”

[al-Kahf 18:65]

“But it may be understood from some aayahs that the mercy mentioned here was the mercy of Prophethood, and that this knowledge which came from Allaah was the knowledge of revelation (wahee)… It is known that mercy and the bestowal of knowledge from Allaah is more general and comes in more ways than via Prophethood.

The fact that something general exists does not necessarily imply that something more specific exists, as is well known. One of the indications that the mercy and knowledge with which Allaah blessed His slave al-Khidr came by way of Prophethood and revelation is the aayah (interpretation of the meaning):

“And I did them not of my own accord”

[Surah Kahf 18:82]

i.e., rather I did them by the command of Allaah, and the command of Allaah is only conveyed via wahee (revelation), because there is no way for the commands and prohibitions of Allaah to be known except through revelation from Allaah, especially with regard to the killing of an apparently innocent soul and damaging a ship by making a hole in it, because committing acts of aggression against people’s lives and wealth can only be validated via revelation from Allaah.

The Red Tea Detox

Allaah has restricted the method of warning to revelation as He says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Say (O Muhammad): “I warn you only by the Revelation”

[al-Anbiya’ 21:45]

the word innama (translated here as “only”) implies limitation or restriction.

Al-Khidr | Prophet | Surah Kahf
Al-Khidr | Prophet | Surah Kahf

Adwaa’ al-Bayaan, 4/172, 173

And he said:

From all of this we know that al-Khidr’s killing the boy and making a hole in the ship, and his saying,

“And I did them not of my own accord”

[Surah Kahf 18:82 – interpretation of the meaning]

clearly indicate that he was a Prophet.

Al-Fakhr al-Raazi, in his tafseer, attributed the view that he was a Prophet to many scholars. Another factor that may indicate that he was a Prophet is the fact that Moosa (peace be upon him) humbled himself before him and said (interpretation of the meaning):

“May I follow you so that you teach me something of that knowledge (guidance and true path) which you have been taught (by Allaah)?”

[Surah Al-Kahf 18:66]

“If Allaah wills, you will find me patient, and I will not disobey you in aught”

[Surah Kahf 18:69]

even though al-Khidr said to him (interpretation of the meaning):

“And how can you have patience about a thing which you know not?”

[Surah Al-Kahf 18:68]

Adwaa’ al-Bayaan, 3/326.
