Charity: Spend in the cause of ALLAH

IF YOU SPEND IN THE CAUSE OF ALLAH (Charity)

YOU ARE NOT REALLY LOOSING… YOU ARE JUST TRANSFERRING FUNDS (charity) FROM YOUR DUNIYA ACCOUNT TO YOUR AAKHIRA ACCOUNT.

Messenger of Allah [pbuh] said:

❝The servant says: ‘My Wealth! My Wealth!’ While he only possesses from his wealth three things, that which he has eaten and so it is consumed, or that which he has worn [from garment] and it is worn out, and that which he has given [in sadaqah] and so he has stored it away [i.e. for his hereafter].❞
[Sahih Muslim, 2958 a]

Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said,

❝There is no right for the son of adam except in these (four) things: A house to live in, a cloth to cover therewith his private parts, bread and water.❞
[At-Tirmidhi]

Messenger of Allah [pbuh] said:

Allah (mighty and sublime be He) said: Spend (on charity), O son of Adam, and I shall spend on you.
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

Aisha (ra) would perfume her coins in musk before giving them in charity. When asked why she did this, she explained that the charity reaches Allah (swt) before it ever touches the hand of the person in need.

She gave away so much although wealth in the home of the Prophet (saw) was not abundant. And she gave it in a way that both honoured the recipient and showed her appreciation for the everlasting reward she expected from Allah (swt).

‘Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported:
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) had slaughtered a sheep and distributed major portions of its meat. Then he (ﷺ) asked, “Is there anything left?” She replied, “Nothing, except the shoulder.” Thereupon he said, “All of it is left except its shoulder.”
[At-Tirmidhi]

❝When you offer any Sadaqah to a beggar, do it with humility and respect, for what you are offering is an offer to Allaah.❞
— Abu Bakr Siddique (ra)

❝Never will you attain the good [reward] until you spend [in the way of Allah] from that which you love. And whatever you spend – indeed, Allah is Knowing of it❞ {Surat ‘Āli `Imrān, 3:92}

❝…And whatever you spend of good [i.e., wealth, property, resources, time, effort etc.] – it will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged.❞ {Surat Al-Baqarah, 2:272}
